Life hasn’t been easy. My childhood was full of pain—alcoholic parents, violence, and trauma that left deep scars. For years, I carried that pain silently, thinking that was just my reality. But here’s what I’ve come to know: your past does not have to be your future.

When I was 11, I faced a heartbreak no child should ever endure. The woman who cared for me, my safe place, was violently taken from me. I found her lifeless body. That moment shattered my world, but it also ignited something fierce inside me—a resilience I didn’t know I had.
